Localhost: Allison Kaptur

On Monday, September 17th, former RC facilitator Allison Kaptur will be giving a talk on Mypy.

Abstract: Mypy is an optional static type checker that can be bolted on top of Python. After working with mypy for several years, I've found that using it makes me write different Python than I used to. I'll give a brief introduction to optional static typing and explain how it's changed my Python.

About the speaker: Allison is a software engineer at Pilot.com, a start-up that automates accounting processes for businesses. She loves Python and silly hacks. She previously worked at Dropbox, and was a facilitator at RC from 2012 to 2014.
