Applying to RC
The Recurse Center is a Brooklyn-based programming retreat where you spend 6 or 12 weeks building with others.
You come to RC to become a dramatically better programmer, to learn and build new things, to find community and kindred spirits, and to advance your career.
The best time to apply is now
Applications are always open, and batches begin every six weeks.
The deadline to apply on time for our next batch is Thursday, July 30th. If you apply late, we’ll still carefully review your application, but you may not have time to complete the process to attend the next batch. You should still apply!
If you're admitted to RC you'll have the option to attend in-person at our NYC Hub or remotely from wherever you are in the world.

Applications for a batch typically open about six months before the batch starts, and close about two weeks before the batch begins, or when the batch is full, depending on which happens first.
Our batches sometimes reach capacity, especially close to their start dates. Read more about how we determine batch capacity.

Write code with an RC alum on a small problem, which you know ahead of time.

Confirm for any upcoming batch that has space, regardless of the batch or length you applied for.
